Role: Bookkeeper
Location: Remote
Schedule: Full-time | 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Eastern Standard Time
USD Salary: $ $1,120 - $1,440 per month | $7 - $9 per hour (negotiable based on experience)
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting operations, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and capable of working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
This position plays a vital role in ensuring the financial health of our organization, supporting decision-making through accurate reporting, and maintaining the integrity of our accounting processes. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately record daily financial transactions and maintain comprehensive accounting records.
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, including timely invoicing and payment processing.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and other financial records regularly.
- Maintain and update the general ledger in accordance with established accounting principles.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and management reports.
- Process payroll accurately and on schedule, ensuring compliance with tax and labor regulations.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic business decisions.
- Prepare and organize documentation for tax filings and coordinate with external accountants/auditors.
- Monitor cash flow and provide timely financial insights to management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and applicable laws.
Requirements
- Experience as a Bookkeeper, Accountant, or in a related financial role.
- Experienced in using Xero and other accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite), with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- In-depth understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) or equivalent financial reporting standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong numerical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
