Position: Commercial Finance Analyst
Location: Athens, Greece, Hybrid
About the Position
As a Commercial Finance Analyst at Flora Food Group, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering actionable financial insights that drive commercial performance. Partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, and Business Planning teams, you’ll act as a true business partner—helping shape decisions that directly impact our results across Greece and the wider region.
This is a hands-on, analytical role for someone who thrives at the intersection of data and business strategy. You’ll see your work influencing market activity, from pricing and promotions to investment decisions and performance reporting. Based in Athens, this hybrid position requires three days per week in the office.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Planning & Forecasting
- Prepare forecasts and annual plans for both Retail and Professional business units.
- Support the Sales Director in preparing materials for business reviews and performance updates.
- Control and track rebate spend to ensure commercial and financial discipline.
Business Partnering & Analysis
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Category teams to evaluate projects and model commercial scenarios.
- Deliver insights that link financial performance to business actions, helping identify growth opportunities and efficiency improvements.
- Participate in regional and global initiatives, sharing best practices and influencing decision-making beyond Greece.
Financial Reporting & Process Improvement
- Assist the Finance Lead in preparing monthly overviews and management letters.
- Continuously improve financial reporting processes and analytical tools to enhance accuracy, visibility, and speed.
- Lead special projects and ad hoc financial analyses as required.
What Does It Take to Be Successful?
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar finance role, ideally within FMCG.
- Education: University degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; CIMA or ACCA qualification is an advantage.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Business Partnering: Proven ability to collaborate across functions and communicate complex financial insights to non-financial audiences.
- Tools & Systems: Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; SAP and BPC experience highly desirable.
- Attitude: A proactive, continuous improvement mindset with strong ownership and a can-do approach.
- Language Skills: Fluency in Greek and advanced English required.
