What Your Day Will Look Like
As a Finance Controller at Beyond Sports, you’ll play a critical role in managing the full spectrum of our financial operations and reporting. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Overseeing accounting operations such as billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll
Verifying revenue recognition in collaboration with project management
Maintaining accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and depreciation
Performing bank reconciliations, credit card management, and payment processes
Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and reporting, including detailed analysis for Sony
Ensuring month-end close and annual filings are completed accurately and on time
Liaising with external personnel for statutory filings, tax compliance, and audits
Supporting other business departments (HR, Operations, Business Development) as a proactive finance partner
Contributing to process optimization and automation to increase efficiency and accuracy
You’ll ensure that all transactions are recorded properly, financial reports comply with statutory and regulatory standards, and internal controls are maintained across the organization.

This role is based on-site at our Alkmaar office (32–40 hours per week). You’ll need to be living in the Netherlands and eligible to work in the EU.
Tech Stack and Skill Requirements
You don’t need to tick every box, but here’s what we’re looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics, or a related field
Qualified AA or RA (Netherlands Institute of Chartered Accountants)
Experience in a similar financial or controlling role
Excellent knowledge of Excel and experience with Exact Online
Understanding of Dutch GAAP and/or IFRS financial reporting standards
Fluent in Dutch and English
