Overview
The FP&A Manager will play a pivotal role in enhancing financial visibility, forecasting accuracy, and strategic decision-making across the organization. This role partners closely with leadership as well as operations, sales, and marketing teams to drive budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis within a fast-paced consumer packaged goods (CPG) environment.

This position is ideal for a hands-on financial professional with strong analytical capabilities, deep experience in large CPG organizations, and advanced systems proficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Modeling

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Build and maintain financial models to support demand planning, pricing strategies, promotional planning, and new product launches.
  • Improve forecasting accuracy using historical data, trends, and key performance drivers.

Financial Analysis & Insights

  • Analyze revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, and performance against plan.
  • Provide actionable financial insights to Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Operations.
  • Deliver dashboards, KPI reporting, and decision-ready analysis to executive leadership.

Cross-Functional & Strategic Support

  • Own headcount planning, Opex tracking, and ROI analysis.
  • Support board and investor reporting as needed.
  • Partner with business teams to strengthen financial accountability and drive profitable growth.

Process & Systems Optimization

  • Enhance FP&A processes, tools, and reporting capabilities.
  • Leverage ERP and CRM systems (such as Certinia/FinancialForce and Salesforce) to optimize data integrity and financial workflows.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years FP&A experience in a large or well-established CPG company.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency (modeling, pivot tables, complex formulas).
  • Hands-on experience with Certinia (FinancialForce), Salesforce, or comparable ERP/CRM systems.
  • Strong understanding of key CPG financial drivers: volume, pricing, trade spend, inventory, and margin dynamics.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders effectively.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
