The Senior General Ledger Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS/US GAAP/ Canada and Ireland), and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. This role will collaborate with AP/AR/Controller teams and provide insights to improve financial processes and controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS/USGAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Analyze variances and provide explanations for management reporting.
- Support audits (internal and external) and ensure timely resolution of findings.
- Assist in standardization process and automation opportunities.
- Collaborate with other finance teams on intercompany partners.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist with Government surveys filings and reporting requirements.
- Monitor and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Participate in system upgrades or implementations, ensuring proper configuration and testing for accounting processes.
Qualifications
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in general ledger accounting or similar roles.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and local statutory requirements.
- Proficiency in SAP, advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to teamwork, bringing support to their colleagues.
- .English level: B2 Required

- Experience in multinational companies.
- Familiarity with Standard Operational Procedures and financial reporting tools.
