National Sales Manager (Bulgaria)

The Sales Manager will lead the MR team in Bulgaria, fostering long-lasting client relationships while recruiting, mentoring, and inspiring the team. This role is also responsible for setting sales targets and closely monitoring the team’s performance to drive growth and success.

What you will do

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies, action plans, and sales forecasts for Bulgaria

  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities and potential areas for growth

  • Set sales targets and closely monitor the performance of the sales team

  • Work in close collaboration with Country Manager and Commercial Operations Manager to improve Commercial Excellence parameters and to suggest changes if needed
  • Lead and motivate a team of sales representatives to achieve individual and team sales goals

  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members to enhance their sales skills and product knowledge

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, key opinion leaders, and other stakeholders in the ophthalmic field

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute effective promotional campaigns and product launches

  • Manage the sales budget effectively to optimize resource allocation and achieve desired sales outcomes
  • Prepare regular sales reports and present updates to senior management, highlighting sales performance, market trends, and key insights

Qualifications

What you will bring to the role

  • Master’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related field

  • Proven track record of at least 5 years in pharmaceutical sale

  • Previous experience in sales management (of at least 2 years), including leading and motivating sales teams

  • Previous experience in the ophthalmic field would be an asset
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical market and regulatory environment in Bulgaria

  • Previous relevant experience in Sales Management overseeing Bulgaria would be an asset
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

  • Fluency in English and local language (Bulgarian)
