Role Overview:
This role is responsible for providing high-quality analytical and financial insights to senior management and external stakeholders (e.g., the Board of Directors) to support strategic decision-making and business transformation initiatives.
The successful candidate will deliver comprehensive financial and operational analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, variance and trend analysis, KPI development and tracking, and qualitative assessments of risks and opportunities. A key responsibility will be to own, maintain, and continuously enhance the company’s financial model, leveraging advanced Excel and financial modelling skills to simulate business scenarios and inform strategic planning.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and a deep understanding of the communications and/or network services industry.
Key responsibilities:
Financial Modelling & Analysis
- Own, develop, and continuously improve the company’s financial model to support forecasting, scenario planning, and strategic initiatives.
- Apply advanced Excel and financial modelling techniques to assess business performance and inform decision-making.
- Conduct variance, sensitivity, and trend analyses to highlight key business drivers and potential risks/opportunities.
Business Partnering & Strategic Insight
- Act as a trusted advisor and thought partner to the business transformation team, finance organization, and key functional leaders.
- Challenge assumptions, scope and frame business problems, and deliver data-driven insights that influence strategic outcomes.
- Support the formulation and tracking of transformation programs, including defining KPIs and success metrics.
Reporting & Communication
- Deliver clear, concise financial reports and presentations for senior management and the Board of Directors.
- Ensure timely collection of critical data and documentation across departments to meet reporting deadlines.
- Translate complex financial findings into actionable insights for both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
Process Improvement & Systems Development
- Streamline FP&A processes to improve accuracy, reduce manual work, and increase efficiency in financial reporting cycles.
- Collaborate with IT and Finance teams to enhance financial planning and business intelligence systems.
- Partner in the ongoing evolution of dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to improve visibility and decision support.
Ad-Hoc Analysis & Projects
- Lead and support ad-hoc analytical projects that inform business strategy and operational improvement.
- Provide strategic recommendations and scenario-based insights to the CFO and business transformation leadership.
Essential Skills and Experience to be Successful in this Role:
- 4-6 years of relevant Finance experience in a fast-paced and high-growth environment, direct FP&A and financial modelling experience.
- BA or BS in Finance or equivalent work experience, accounting qualification is an advantage.
- Industry experience in the SaaS, communications, or network services industries is strongly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Exposure to business intelligence tools (like Tableau, Microsoft PowerBI) and ability to help define and track KPIs, partnering with IT and other stakeholders is an advantage.
- High attention to detail with ability to cross check numbers for accuracy and reasonableness.
- Ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization and work strategically and collaboratively across departments.
- Demonstrated success working under pressure and managing multiple projects in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in English.
