Our client is looking for an SEO Specialist (On-Page & Local) who can take charge of optimizing existing content for better performance, improving indexing, and managing Local SEO initiatives like Google My Business and directory listings. This role is ideal for someone who understands both On-Page SEO strategy and technical fundamentals, and knows how to make content move up the ranks.

🧩 What You’ll Do

  • Review, update, and optimize existing content to improve rankings and search intent alignment
  • Conduct on-page SEO audits and apply improvements across headers, metadata, internal links, and schema
  • Monitor and improve the indexing of underperforming content using tools like Google Search Console
  • Build and implement a scalable internal linking strategy to support SEO hierarchy and user experience
  • Manage and optimize Google My Business profiles for local search
  • Submit and maintain listings in relevant business directories to boost local authority
  • Track keyword performance and identify opportunities for content upgrades and consolidation
  • Collaborate with the content and web teams to execute SEO changes across blog posts and service pages
  • Stay up to date on Google algorithm updates, local SEO trends, and best practices

✅ Who You Are

  • 2+ years of experience in Content SEO and Local SEO
  • Deep understanding of Google My Business optimization, local ranking factors, and citation building
  • Proven ability to optimize existing content for improved visibility and engagement
  • Familiar with tools like Google Search Console, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, or similar
  • Strong grasp of internal linking strategies and content hierarchy
  • Knowledge of basic HTML, on-page SEO elements, and schema markup
  • Clear communicator who can present SEO improvements and content strategy ideas
  • Bonus: Experience working across CMS platforms like WordPress, Webflow, or Squarespace
