Staff Accountant

As part of our Finance team, you will support three German locations with daily accounting tasks and work closely with our global team to ensure that financial statements are prepared accurately and on time. This role offers the opportunity to develop experience in both HGB and US GAAP accounting for group reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and process daily financial transactions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and bank operations, in accordance with standard accounting practices.
- Manage dunning processes and resolve outstanding items.
- Assist with VAT pre-filings and support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and US GAAP.
- Manage digital document workflows, including uploading, archiving, and organizing invoices and receipts using NetSuite and DATEV.
- Serve as a point of contact for accounting-related inquiries.
Job Requirements
- Completed commercial or accounting-related vocational training (e.g., tax clerk) or equivalent professional experience.
- Solid foundational knowledge of general ledger and sub-ledger accounting.
- Experience with DATEV and Oracle NetSuite (or similar accounting software/ERP systems).
- Basic understanding of German tax law, particularly VAT and income tax, is a plus.
- Good written and spoken English is required.
