About the Role:
Prepare month end entries, reconciliations, and any other adjustments as needed.
Processes payments (e.g. invoices, travel/cash advances, e-checks, etc.) when needed, researches disputed invoices, assists staff with questions regarding accounts, reimbursements, and reconciles assigned accounts. Performs essential functions personally, through others, or in conjunction with designated personnel or outside vendors/experts.
What You’ll Do:
Assist in providing reports to internal and external auditors
Prepare month end journal entries
Prepare monthly and daily sub ledger reconciliations
Assist payout team with inquiries regarding payment status
Perform daily/weekly/monthly bank reconciliation
Maintain transaction data integrity across transaction management, accounting, and administrative platforms
Report agent and other departments inquiries to manager
Assist in processing of annual T4A slips
Assist in the month end close process, prepare reconciliations, accruals and ad hoc journal entries
Monthly reconciliation of Credit Cards
Process and reconcile deposits

What You’ll Bring:
In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices
Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP)
An analytical mind with a strategic ability
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
Education & Experience:
Proven experience as AP Accountant or similar role
BComm in Accounting, finance, or relevant field
CPA or other relevant qualification is a plus
Experience with training and oversight of operations
