About Fero:
We’re revolutionising the supply chain and financial foundations of the $800bn global drinks industry by building a platform that will change the way that commerce is executed forever!
We've just secured our Series A funding and are proud to be part of Notion Capital's portfolio. We've already influenced immense change in the UK markets and have personally already seen tremendous growth, with over £250 million of product transacted through the platform and increased annual sales by 1,000% since early 2023.
To date we're proud to say that we've deployed over £500m of funding in support of UK wine and spirits producers. As we look to expand our offering globally we're looking for ambitious builders that want to change an industry and be part of the journey with us.
We're first to market and intend to stay ahead of the game! In short, it's the perfect time to join as we aim for unicorn and beyond 🚀
The Role:
We're reinventing the drinks industry - combining fintech innovation with supply chain to unlock liquidity for producers and traders. After doubling in size over the past 6 months, we're looking for an exceptional finance professional to help us scale.
This is a rare opportunity to join at an inflection point where your work will directly shape how we grow, how we're funded, and how we're valued. You'll own critical work-streams from day one, build institutional-grade processes in a fast-moving environment, and work alongside a leadership team with deep experience in banking and PE / VC.
What You'll Do
Structured Finance: Support ABS structuring and warehouse financing arrangements, including due diligence, cash flow modelling, and lender reporting
Liquidity & Asset Management: Monitor cash positions across multiple entities and jurisdictions, optimize working capital deployment, and manage funding facility drawdowns
Financial Modelling: Build sophisticated models for scenario analysis, capital raises, new product structures, and strategic decision-making
Investor Reporting: Lead monthly reporting to equity investors and debt providers, preparing board materials, variance analysis, and covenant compliance reporting
Financial Operations: Own month-end close, reconciliations, and ensure data integrity across our trading platform and accounting systems
Strategic Projects: Work alongside CEO and leadership team on fundraising, business development opportunities, and special projects as we scale
What We're Looking For
2-4 years' experience (associate level or equivalent) in either Investment Banking (DCM, LevFin), PE / VC, Top-Tier Consulting (MBB or Big 4 Transaction Services / Corporate Finance), or Structured Finance / Modelling Advisory
Exceptional financial modelling skills - you've built complex DCF, or asset-backed structures from scratch
Experience working with debt investors, credit facilities, or structured products is highly valued
Degree in Finance / Economics or other STEM field; ACA / CFA is a plus but not required
Thrives in ambiguity and moves fast - you're energized by building processes, not just following them
Intellectually curious with strong commercial instinct and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
Excellent stakeholder management - comfortable presenting to boards, investors, and senior leadership
Why This Role
Ownership & Impact: This isn't a cog-in-the-wheel role. You'll own entire workstreams and see the direct impact of your work on our growth trajectory
Accelerated Responsibility: As we scale, high performers advance quickly. We're building a finance function from 4 people - early joiners shape the team and culture
Unique Market Position: We're applying institutional finance techniques (ABS, warehouse facilities, mezzanine structures) to an underserved, relationship-driven industry
Learning Environment: Work alongside CFO and FD with combined 20+ years in IB / PE, gaining exposure to complex financing structures typically reserved for much larger companies
If you're looking to break out of traditional banking / consulting while maintaining intellectual rigor, want genuine ownership over your domain, and are excited by the challenge of building financial infrastructure in a fast-scaling environment - let's talk.
